Pride Month: Teen Reading Lists

It’s Pride Month, and in celebration of all love, self-expression, and individuality, we wanted to share our Teen Reading Lists we made for our Virtual Pride Party (in case you weren’t able to attend.) Whether you are searching for your next great summer read, learning the history of Pride, or wanting to understand who you are more…check out these great titles! All of them can either be requested for curbside pickup or checked out through Overdrive or Hoopla. Do you have favorite titles that didn’t make this list? Be sure to comment and share below!

Shanon Barton works in Youth Services at the Kirkwood Public Library. She started volunteering for KPL when she was in 7th grade and loves that she gets to work there as her “real adult job.” When not hanging out in the stacks at work, she can be found at home watching Netflix, eating pizza rolls, and planning themed events with friends. If you catch her with her nose in a book, it will most likely be a YA historical fiction novel with some sprinkling of supernatural or magical elements.
