Teen Reading Suggestions: Biographies and Autobiographies

Whether we like it or not…summer is slowing down, and we are already starting to prepare for the school year ahead of us. For many teens, that means finally looking at their assigned reading for the summer and scrambling to find a title to check out and read. When the library is open, this means we have teens flooding the desk asking us for reading recommendations and traversing up to the 3rd floor of the library in search for the perfect title. Never fear my fellow procrastinators! Here is a list of great teen biographies and autobiographies you can check out with curbside pickup or download with overdrive or hoopla! Do you still not see a book that sounds interesting? Feel free to give us a call at the library where we can help search for more titles that fit what you’re looking for.

Shanon Barton works in Youth Services at the Kirkwood Public Library. She started volunteering for KPL when she was in 7th grade and loves that she gets to work there as her “real adult job.” When not hanging out in the stacks at work, she can be found at home watching Netflix, eating pizza rolls, and planning themed events with friends. If you catch her with her nose in a book, it will most likely be a YA historical fiction novel with some sprinkling of supernatural or magical elements.
