From September 17th-23rd bring in canned or dried goods to the Kirkwood Public Library to pay for fines. One can or boxed good is equivalent to $1 and we will accept goods for up to $20 in fines. All donations will go to support Nutrition on Weekends, which sends children home with backpacks on the weekend to help feed families.
Items in high demand include:

Oatmeal, Pasta Sauce (low sugar, if possible), Whole Wheat Pasta, Canned Chicken, Canned Tuna, Cereal, Breakfast bars (all types), Granola Bars, Applesauce, Canned Fruit, Canned Veggies, Fruit Snacks, Mayonnaise, Graham Crackers, Ritz Crackers, Canned Soup (prefer either Tomato or Chicken Noodle), Canned beans (black or refried; fat free preferred)

No expired food, glass, or damaged cans will be accepted. Only Kirkwood overdue fines will be waived. Thank you for helping us support the community.

Nick O'Neal is the Director of Technology & Online Services for the Kirkwood Public Library. He has been with the library since July 2012. He enjoys playing video games, listening to Classic Rock, and watching movies. His favorite authors include Douglas Adams, Michael Crichton and Clive Cussler.
