Building a legacy…Constructing a Future
The Friends organization consists entirely of volunteers and we are grateful for the valuable commitment. Every dollar raised by the Friends goes to benefit our wonderful Library. Your support is critically important to the Library’s ongoing success.
In addition to assisting the Library, donors receive a 10% discount on purchases in the gift shop, BOOKS & BEYOND.
The Friends will be undergoing organizational changes in the coming year. Volunteers will continue to operate BOOKS & BEYOND, process all donated books and manage frequent on-site book sales. The library staff will be assuming the administrative and accounting functions for all the volunteer activities. These are tasks that our volunteers were pleased to pass on to the library staff and this new arrangement is a win-win for everyone. Starting in the fall of 2017 an annual Friends appeal with a broader community outreach will be instituted. Please watch the KPL electronic newsletter for further information about this future opportunity.

Friends of Kirkwood Public Library Book Sale
Please check back for future sale dates or subscribe to the Friends Email’ List.
The Friends spend a lot of their time sorting through all the Library book donations to coordinate their regular book sales. While the majority of books make it to these sales, there are times when books are found to be “special”. A “special book” is old, rare, a first edition, out of print, or in some way “special.” At this time, the Friends do not have an “special books” for sale.
