Last week, I attended a conference about technology. And as with most conferences, a hotel stay was in order as it was not hosted locally. Now I enjoy a good conference, all the networking and learning about new things is quite fun (not to mention the delicious lunches they served :D) However, I do not typically enjoy staying in a hotel room. It always takes me several days to get use to the bed and just being away from home where I enjoy the sound of rain from a sound maker when I sleep.

So the first night of my conference, I was laying in bed missing my sound and it hit me- I could use Hoopla! I popped onto my laptop and logged into my Hoopla account (available for free through the library) where I found a thunderstorms album. Ironically, the alum I found was the same as one I previously owned as a cassette tape in the 90’s. I checked out the title, hit play and left my computer on as I feel asleep much easier.

Thank you, Hoopla!

The album I checked out is displayed below. If it is not working, click here for Thunderstorms.
