SQUINT
A MARK TWAIN 2020-21 NOMINEE
Kim’s Book Review

If you liked Mustaches For Maddie then you will love Squint! This is a heartwarming story of a boy named Flint but because of a rare eye disease his nickname is “Squint”. Squint loves to create comics and is trying desperately to enter a comic book contest but his medical issues with his eye keep getting in his way. He befriends a new girl McKell who is going through some struggles of her own with a talent she keeps under wraps and a terminally ill brother. With the help of some challenges that McKell’s brother throws their way, Squint and McKell overcome their fears and develop a sweet friendship.
