Community Spotlight Collection

Kirkwood Public Library values our local authors and encourages the inclusion of their work in our collection.  The Community Spotlight Collection is a place for our area talent to share their work with the entire Kirkwood community.

Are you a local author, musician, or filmmaker? This collection is for you! The Community Spotlight is on CDs, DVDs, and fiction and nonfiction books by local creators, or on items featuring the St. Louis region.

To find out if your work is eligible for inclusion, click here to review the full policy.

A new service offered by the Municipal Library Consortium, SELF-e is an innovative collaboration between Library Journal and a company called BiblioBoard that enables authors and libraries to work together to expose notable self-published ebooks to eager readers looking to discover something new. Using SELF-e, our library will be able to take submissions from local indie authors and make those ebooks available to any participating library across the state on BiblioBoard’s PatronsFirst™ platform.

Indie authors who submit their work to our library also have the opportunity to opt-in to have their book selected by Library Journal curators to become part of a unique discovery platform for participating libraries across the United States.
