Teens

The Kirkwood Public Library offers a variety of resources and activities that are tailored to teens.

From free classes and after school programs to unique technology and volunteering opportunities, there’s something for everyone. Explore more below including our calendar of upcoming teen-focused events.

Volunteer at the Library

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Kirkwood Public Library! During Summer Reading volunteers help us with tasks such as shelving, signing customers up for the Summer Reading Program, passing out prizes, making craft samples, organizing, program prep, and other special projects. Volunteers are typically scheduled for one 2 hour shift per week. Open to teens entering grades 6-12.

Big Reading Buddies mentor children in grades 1-4 through our Reading Buddies program. Volunteers will be assisting children in reading, literacy games, and activities each week! Applicants will participate in an interview process, and applying does not guarantee a spot.
