Hear more about the romance between two powerful figures of the ancient world – Julius Caesar of Rome and Cleopatra of Egypt. As sparks fly between these two rulers, love becomes a battlefield, and the most important conquest is that of the heart. A docent from Opera Theatre of Saint Louis will tell the story, play music, and show video selections from different recordings of Julius Caesar. You will hear about the composer, Handel, and his amazing team of performers who made the music come to life, as well as present day performers for Opera Theatre.
