If uploading your own files - once submitted, a librarian will contact you with an estimate of time to print and cost for approval.

If selecting from the 3D Print Binder - your selection will contain pricing information. You will be contacted when your print is ready to pick up.

Only cash payments are available for 3D Prints.

All models are printed on a first come, first serve basis. During peak request times, turnaround time for 3D prints may be up to several weeks. We accept one submission per person at at time. Teen Summer Volunteer Groups

Group 1: Summer Reading Assistant: Help us give out Summer Reading prizes, create coupon booklets, help patrons sign up for Summer Reading at the public computers, and answer questions about the program.

Group 2: Youth Services Event Volunteer: This is perfect for someone that wants to help us put on events for kids and teens! Duties include program preparation, helping at specific events such as storytime, and assisting during library programs with staff.

Group 3: Behind the Scenes Volunteer: A fit if you enjoy independent projects like shelving books, helping us keep the room inviting and tidy, refilling book displays, helping with behind the scenes Summer Reading prep including couponing, supply preparation, and more!

Group 4: Office Assistant: Work in the library admin office on light clerical duties such as scanning and stickering books. Great if you want some office/organizing experience!

Group 5: Mural Project: Help us design a library mural on the outside fence. If you love creative projects, painting and teamwork, this group is for you!

Request for a Library-Sponsored Event

The Kirkwood Public Library maintains a meeting room for Library sponsored programs consistent with its mission “to inspire a lifelong commitment to learning and creativity, for a more prosperous and connected community.” The Kirkwood Public Library welcomes outside organizations or individuals interested in presenting at the Library. Events must be offered virtually and may be done so at the discretion of library managers. This selection will be based on public service needs and other activities scheduled.

In order to make a request you must have a Kirkwood Public Library card in good standing (not expired and owing less than $10 in fines). This request will be reviewed using current collection development policy guidelines and reviews. The Library reserves the right to make the final decision on requests. Once submitted, the library will be in contact regarding this request.

Submit a Large Format Print Request

Complete the form below to submit your Large Format Print request to the Kirkwood Public Library.

Printing is performed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Up to 3 files may be submitted at a time.
Files should, if possible, be formatted to fit the desired print size. Small files can be scaled, but will distort and/or pixelate.
Once received, staff will notify you via email with a final cost.
Upon approval, staff will attempt to print as per the selected settings.
Upon completion, you will be notified via email.v
Prints will be available to pick up at the Customer Service Desk and are held for 15 days after completion.
Once picked up, another print request may be submitted.

If you would like to pay for your print with a credit card, a valid Kirkwood Public Library card (or a library card from one of the Municipal Library Consortium libraries) is required for 3D Printing. Fees for printing will be charged to your library account and can be paid via credit card by logging into your account online. If you wish to pay cash or do not have a card from one of the MLC libraries, do not enter a library card number.

ARTICLE V. Collection Development Policy Of The Kirkwood Public Library
Section 6. Community Spotlight -- The Kirkwood Public Library values local authors and encourages the inclusion of their work to the collection. Authors who are residents of Kirkwood or non-resident authors whose work features Kirkwood, MO may submit their book to the collection. Advanced Reading copies and copies with non-traditional library- binding will not be added to the collection. Generally the work must be published in the last two years. Contributed items become property of the library and are subject to all of the Library’s Withdrawal Criteria and Gift policies.
